The Executive Team works to support the Board to:

  • develop, communicate and implement the Board‘s corporate priorities through the three-year corporate strategy, business and financial plans
  • set the standards, values and behaviours to establish a positive organisational culture
  • exercise financial management and control
  • manage the significant risks facing the business
  • develop business planning, forecasting and risk mitigation strategies
  • monitor performance and drive performance expectations and outcomes including value for money

 

The Executive Team also leads on the development and delivery of the corporate strategy and our strategic aims through collegiate leadership, corporate management and governance, and:

  • implement the strategy, business and financial plans approved by the Accent Group Board
  • retain a focus on organisational efficiency and value for money
  • lead an organisational culture that represents the values and behaviours of Accent
  • ensure efficient and effective business systems and processes operate throughout the business
  • establish a flexible working environment that promotes high-performance
  • identify assess and exploit new business opportunities
  • maintain a work environment that empowers colleagues to deliver strong outcomes for customers, other stakeholders and the business
  • promote change and continuous improvement as a constant
  • create and maintain communication systems and feedback channels that ensure customers are at the centre of all business decisions
  • establish, deliver and critically appraise policies, systems and practices across all aspects of the business (excluding those reserved for specific board or committee approval)
  • manage and influence colleagues’ performance to ensure that expectations are clear, poor performance is addressed and strong performance is recognised
  • ensure that appropriate control systems are created and operating across the business
  • ensure staffing resources are deployed as per conditions of employment approved by the Board to maximise their contribution to the company’s objectives
