Our Strategic Health and Safety Group forms part of Accent's governance structure and is made up of permanent members of Accent colleagues sitting on the organisations wider leadership group, senior leadership team and executive team.
The Strategic Health and Safety Group works to:
- support the Board by creating a positive health and safety culture across the Accent Group
- ensure effective health and safety arrangements and associated performance are in place so that customers, colleagues and communities are safe
- ensure our policies, procedures and working practices regarding health and safety meet or exceed any legal obligations to promote the health, safety and well-being of Accent’s customers, colleagues, communities and all who may be affected by its activities
- review regular performance reports showing performance against key performance indicator targets set
- review peer benchmarking reports and comment on trend analysis over time
- oversee the implementation of Accent’s response to Building a Safer Future regime
- take responsibility for scrutiny of health and safety, with a remit to review and recommend overall health and safety policy
