Accent and Allison Homes has marked the launch of its new affordable housing development at Elsea Park with a £4,800 donation to local charity, Inspire+.

Inspire+ is a sports education charity that aims to positively impact young people's lives through innovative and educational community initiatives and is also one of the country’s largest PE and School Sport apprenticeship providers.

The charity’s Founder, Vincent Brittain, met with representatives from Allison Homes and Accent Housing on Monday 1st July to receive the donation, which forms part of the housebuilders pledge to donate £100 to a local charity for each new home built through a partnership scheme.

Vincent thanked Allison Homes for their support, emphasising Inspire+'s wide-reaching impact across the local area and beyond: "We collaborate closely with schools in the area such as Bourne Elsea Park, Bourne Abbey, Bourne Academy and Baston Primary. Allison Homes' generous donation enables us to continue these essential community initiatives."

James Pennington, Group Partnership and Investment Director of Allison Homes, presented the cheque to Vincent alongside representatives from Accent Housing, including Steve Morris, Director of Development, Cherise Berridge, Assistant Director of Development and Katie Prati, Senior Development Manager.

Steve Morris said: “We are really proud of our partnership with Allison Homes, as we share strong social values and a dedication to community support. Our focus is always to provide high quality, sustainable and affordable housing to those in need. We are excited to see our new homes at Elsea Park complete and look forward to welcoming our new customers."

Situated on a 2.3-hectare site, the area represents one of the final phases of development for Elsea Park. The community will encompass a range of homes, predominantly smaller one, two and three-bedroom homes, including bungalows, and two larger four-bedroom family homes, with suitable parking spaces. All 48 homes on this phase of Elsea Park are designated for affordable housing, with a tenure split of 65% available through affordable rent and 35% through shared ownership. The first units at the development are expected to be available in March 2025.
